Dear Friend of Baltimore City College,

Baltimore City College, founded in 1839, is the third oldest public high school in the United States. Committed to the pursuit of excellence, we are a citywide college preparatory institution with selective admissions and an emphasis on the liberal arts and sciences. As the IB world school for Baltimore City Public Schools, we provide academic programs that incorporate communication, intercultural awareness, and inquiry-based learning. By offering every student rigorous studies and high caliber extracurricular and co-curricular activities, we aspire for our students to demonstrate excellence and to succeed in the best colleges. We strive for our students to become committed and responsible citizens active in their local and global communities.

Our school attracts a diverse student body of approximately 1,200 talented, ambitious students and their families from all over the city. As parents, we are committed to ensuring that our children receive a rich,high-quality education in a positive learning environment.

This year, the City Now City Forever Annual Fund is hosting its first fundraising event,
a dinner and silent auction with expected attendance of 200 people or more. The event will supplement the school’s tight budget with funds for field trips, assemblies, supplies, and other needs as they arise throughout the school year. This year’s Auction will be held on Friday, March 16.

Would you consider donating an item and/or service for our silent and live auctions? We welcome all types of donations—gift certificates, services, artwork, jewelry, tickets to sporting events, you name it!

The Donation form is enclosed. Donations can be sent to: Sonya Kannam, 211 Hawthorne Road,
Baltimore MD, 21210

Questions about donations can be emailed to Sharon Pula at sharon.pula@gmail.com.

If you have any questions regarding donations please do not hesitate to contact us. We deeply appreciate your support of City College. Thank you, in advance, for your consideration and generosity to improve the public education experience at one of Baltimore City’s finest schools.
